Is that radiator hose and worm clamps proudly displayed in the engine bay of a car that starts at $150K+? I am sure we all thought the same thing when we first saw it. RV6 was approached by longtime friend and colleague Chad Gilsinger from Honda of America Racing Team (HART). They were having issues with those radiator style hoses popping off at race events and needed a solution. RV6 got to work designing replacement parts that were not only functional but aesthetically on par with the NSX.

No expense was spared designing this solution. First thing to go were the squishy radiator style hoses that would expand and contract under boost and vacuum. Every section of this material was replaced with oil-resistant, 4 ply Kevlar reinforced hoses and carbon fiber tubes. Custom constant tension spring loaded T-bolt clamps were built to our specifications from a top tier USA manufacture. Finally, the masterpiece, a high strength carbon fiber tube with reinforced flexible coupler to allow for engine movement.

These parts have been tested under real world racing conditions in Chad Gilsinger’s GT-2 NSX and function perfectly without a hitch. Chad reports a quicker more responsive boost from the solid components that do not balloon and expand like the OE style holes.
