RV6 Tube and Fin Front-Mount Intercooler – Honda FL5 Civic Type R (23+

We are pleased to announce the release of the first RV6 Tube and Fin Front-Mount Intercooler (IC) for the 11th gen Honda FL5 Civic Type R and 5th gen Acura DE5 Integra Type S. This product has been designed by us over the course of the last 1.5 years and will deliver the cooling performance improvements needed by users with both OEM turbos, our turbo upgrades, and other aftermarket turbos. According to our research, we chose the extruded square internal tube and fin design for the best cooling rate, low weight with high strength—unlike traditional tube-and-V-fin designs—and its ability to deliver an optimal cooler core. Overall, there is a weight reduction compared to the typical bar and plate designs which are much heavier yet do not have the longer-term cooling efficiencies required for intensive use or track conditions.

Blemish Disclaimer:

Every unit has been pressure tested and functionally verified. There are no leaks, no fitment issues, and no impact to performance. These are purely cosmetic blemishes from our coating process.

We could have shipped these as-is, the defects are minor and most customers would never notice. But that’s not how we operate. RV6 holds every product to a high cosmetic and functional standard, and we didn’t feel it was right to ship units that don’t meet that bar without being upfront about it. That’s why we’ve graded every unit individually and are offering them at a discount based on cosmetic condition:

Grade A — 5% off — $711.55 (Save $37.45) Not visible once installed

Please note that grading reflects the overall condition of the intercooler, not that each unit will only have blemishes specific to that grade.

- Grade B intercoolers may include blemishes typically found in Grade A units, in addition to minor cosmetic imperfections.

- Grade C intercoolers may include blemishes found in both Grade A and Grade B units, along with more noticeable cosmetic imperfections.

It’s also important to mention that the visibility of certain blemishes can vary depending on the intercooler’s color. Some imperfections may be more noticeable on certain finishes, while others may be less visible depending on lighting and surface contrast.

All units have been pressure tested and functionally verified — our standard warranty applies. Each unit will have identification laser-etched on the underside, left corner (not visible once installed).
